Disney Family Travel Escapes
Disney – Tour the California Coast in Style
You don’t have to go far from home to enjoy a vacation! Since the Disney Cruise Line has teamed up with the Pixar team, it’s never been a better time to book a family vacation to check out the coast. Aside from all of the fun aboard the cruise ship, you will also get to experience frequent stops along the way which will give everyone a chance to have fun. Although, there’s plenty of things to do on board the ship as well, like classes, swimming and live shows.
One of the first ports that the Disney cruise stops at is Los Angeles, where you’ll not only find great shopping, but also a wonderful selection of fine and casual dining. This is the perfect place to stop if you’re planning on staying at the Disney Resort for the remainder of your trip because you won’t have to travel very far. Cruise lengths differ from a few days to a week, so make sure you pick one that won’t make you feel too rushed. Then again, you may only want to take a four day cruise if you would rather spend the rest of the week playing on rides at the theme parks!
Disney cruises aren’t just for kids, either. Couples can also enjoy the ride, too, especially when the cruise stops at San Francisco. You can take the time to browse through fine art galleries and quirky dining places, or check out some of the museums and wine tasting events that California is known for. Then again, some of the Disney Cruises also feature wine tasting onboard, too, so it’s a win-win situation! Of course, no stop to San Francisco would be complete without visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, so don’t forget to include that of your list of things to do.
The Disney cruise along the California coast also stops at San Diego, which means the whole family will have an opportunity to explore the beaches and boardwalks in the area. Additionally, this is also the home of the Sand Diego Zoo, which has some of the best display in the United States – this is a wonderful stop to make if you’re traveling with children. If you’re already planning on checking out the theme park, then you should definitely consider booking a cruise at the same time for an added element of fun that’s sure to create lasting memories for a lifetime.
